Create SMS Template
To create a template users need to configure the DLT for India and Toll Free Number for USA in Nudge.
SMS for India
Step-1: To set up DLT, navigate to configuration and select SMS, give the Entity ID and Header/sender ID’s and save the details.
Step-2: Initially users need to create a template in DLT account and get the templates approved by users telecom service provider of DLT to follow the TRAI regulations (Telecom regulatory authority of India ).
Step-3: After the templates have been approved and users have received the DLT template ID replicate the same template in Nudge.
Step-4: Create an SMS template by providing a unique name consist of lowercase letters, alphanumeric and underscores (_).
Step-5: Input the approved DLT template ID, then choose the Header/Sender ID from the dropdown menu then select the template category.
Select the project name from dropdown menu if any. OR
To create a project name navigate to Configuration and select others option from the configuration and click on create new project button and give the project name save. Users can view and edit the existing projects.
Step-6: Replicate the DLT template in Nudge. While replicating the DLT template in nudge edit the syntax. The syntax of variables are different in DLT and Nudge. DLT syntax is {#var#} and Nudge syntax is %MergeTag_Name%.
The maximum character limit of SMS is 160 characters if it exceeds more than 160 characters message will split into segments. And from second segment character limits was153.
Customers will receive SMS as a single message but charges will be applied for every segment (160 characters).
Note: If users wants to send a unique message in different regional languages each segment will be considered as 70 characters if it exceeds each 67 characters we be considered as a new segment.
Step-7: Save and activate the template.
SMS for USA
Step-1:To set up the Toll Free Number navigate to configuration settings. Select SMS and give your verified Toll Free Number and save.

Step-2: Create an SMS template by providing a unique name consist of lowercase letters, alphanumeric and underscores (_).
Select the project name from dropdown menu if any and Input the body of the message.
Step-3: Input the body of the message.
