How to create a Recurring Nudge?
To create a recurring nudge, firstly the user selects the channel by clicking on one of the channel buttons from the side menu Email, SMS, WhatsApp. The user will follow the below-mentioned steps to create a recurring nudge and the steps will be the same as the defined steps for each channel:
Step-I: Setup
In the first step to creating a recurring nudge, you will be providing the basic detail about the nudge like name, description, sender name, and sender email. In this section, the user can read the API documentation.
Step-II: Recipients
Under the recipient section, the system will ask you to provide the recipient information which is also known as contact data. Users can use the available data file or can import new data files in CSV format. The CSV file will have a specified format for the data with specific data fields. The user can download the recipient CSV file to review and for the external record.
Step-III: Design
In the design step of creating a recurring nudge, the user can choose any of the previous templates defined for the recurring nudge, edit the template, or the user can create a new template.
Creating Template for Recurring Nudge
While creating a new template for a recurring nudge system will ask to add the template name and subject and redirect the user to the template editor which is very easy to use due to its drag-and-drop facility. It allows the users to set a customized template for the recurring nudge. The user can send a test nudge before finalizing the recurring nudge. The editor allows the user to add headings, free text, social media icons, and action buttons to make the template attractive and aligned with the user’s brand.
The newly created template will be also saved in the user’s designed templates gallery for the recurring nudge so that the user can use it in future nudges as well.
Step-IV: Schedule
At the fourth step of creating a one-time nudge, the user will have the facility to schedule a periodic nudge by selecting the day and month options. The user can select the time zone, start date, and start time so that the user sets a starting time and date for recurring nudges. The user can set the nudge ending date from the calendar. The system allows the users to save the recurring nudge without scheduling and the saved nudge will be listed in the existing nudge list.
If the user selects the “Day” option from the menu the system allows the user to schedule recurring nudges by selecting days from the month and weekdays such as “2nd”, “3rd”, the day of “Monday”, “Tuesday”, etc. The user can schedule a recurring nudge by choosing the days between weekdays. In short, the user can select the specific day/days of week/weeks for a particular month.
When the user selects the “Month” option from the menu then, the user can schedule a recurring nudge for a particular month.
Step-V: Overview
In the fifth step, the system provides the facility for the user to review the nudges details before sending them to the customer. Users can validate the information and check if something is misplaced or missing can be added before sending it to the clients/customers.
